What's the Point?
The Point began with a simple idea: good things happen when people have a place to come together.
So that's what we're here to be - a shared space for Khao Lak.
A place to meet people. Share a meal. Learn something new. Practice English. Start a group. Attend a workshop. Celebrate. Worship. Volunteer. Share an idea. Or simply spend time together.
Some things that happen here are organized by us. Many aren't.
The Point is the place. The community is what brings it to life.
A Shared Space in Khao Lak
People from different backgrounds, cultures, organizations, and parts of our community use The Point in different ways.
On any given week, you might find an English conversation happening downstairs, people gathered around a board game, a church meeting, a Discovery Bible Study sharing a meal, a community workshop, or a group preparing to serve somewhere around Khao Lak.
Some gatherings happen every week. Others happen once. Some are open to everyone, while others simply need a welcoming place to meet.
That's part of what makes The Point work.
Sometimes making a difference starts simply by making room.
From Here, Into Khao Lak
The Point is a gathering place, but the goal isn't for everything to stay inside these walls.
The relationships, ideas, and opportunities that begin here often lead outward - to schools, neighborhoods, families, local organizations, and communities throughout the Khao Lak area.
Sometimes that means volunteering. Sometimes it means sharing a skill, helping with a project, connecting people who can help each other, or simply getting to know someone you otherwise might never have met.
The Point gives those connections a place to begin.

The Point is also a guesthouse for volunteer groups of up to 15 people who want to experience Khao Lak while contributing to the community.
Groups stay together here and connect with local people, projects, and opportunities around Khao Lak. We've welcomed groups from Bangkok, Hong Kong, Scotland, and beyond.
Every group brings something different. The approach stays the same: listen, learn, build relationships, and contribute in ways that are genuinely helpful.
What Could Happen Here?
The Point isn't meant to be filled only with our ideas.
Maybe you have a workshop you'd love to teach. A group that needs somewhere to meet. A skill you could share. An activity you'd like to start. A way to help the community. Or simply an idea worth exploring.
Some people contribute their time. Some organize activities. Some share their skills. Some volunteer. Some provide resources or financial support. And many simply show up and become part of the community.
